The Nirmaya Foundation Green Standard (NFGS) is an initiative by Nirmaya Foundation to recognize and support organizations, events, and institutions that commit to environmentally responsible practices. Rooted in our values of empathy, action, and community well-being, this standard celebrates real efforts—big or small—towards a sustainable future.

✅ What Does NFGS Recognize?

The NFGS acknowledges efforts in the following key areas:

• Zero Plastic or Low-Plastic Footprint
  Use of recyclable, biodegradable, or reusable alternatives wherever possible.

• Paper-Free or Reduced Paper Events
  Prioritizing digital communications, QR-based brochures, and eco-friendly printing.

• Responsible Waste Management
  Use of labeled dustbins, segregation of waste, and minimal food wastage.

• Sustainable Gifting & Branding
  Elimination of one-time use products, plastic-wrapped giveaways, or commercial promo materials.

• Eco-Inclusive Awareness
  Educating participants, volunteers, or audiences about sustainability actions taken.

• Carbon-Conscious Planning
  Thoughtful decisions on transport, energy use, and material sourcing.

🧪 How to Qualify?

You simply need to:

1. Share your sustainability practices and evidence (photos, plans, checklists).

2. Submit the NFGS Declaration Form (available upon request).

3. Allow 3–5 working days for review by our internal sustainability council.
